These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the purchase of products from Purple Dahlia Publications (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Overview

We sell personalised printed books created using the information provided by the customer. Each product is made to order and customised specifically for the named child.

Because of the personalised nature of our products, special terms apply to cancellations and refunds. Please read carefully.

2. Personalisation Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring all details entered at checkout are correct, including:

  • name spelling

  • birth date

  • birth time

  • birth location

  • delivery address

We are not liable for errors caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Personalised books cannot be resold or reused once produced.

3. Personalised Messages & Dedications

Customers may include a personalised dedication message in their order.

By submitting text, you confirm that:

  • you have the right to use the content provided

  • the message does not infringe copyright or trademarks

  • the message is not defamatory, abusive, hateful, or unlawful

  • the message does not violate the rights of any third party

We reserve the right to refuse or edit messages that we believe are inappropriate, offensive, or legally risky.

We are not responsible for customer-provided wording.

4. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if:

  • incorrect pricing is displayed

  • fraud is suspected

  • personalisation data is invalid

  • fulfilment is not possible

If payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued.

5. Production & Delivery

All books are made to order.

Estimated delivery timeframe is 2–3 weeks. This includes creation, quality review, printing, and shipping.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees and may vary due to courier delays or events outside our control.

We are not liable for delivery delays once an item has been dispatched.

6. Refunds & Returns

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Because products are personalised, the standard 14-day cancellation right under UK/EU consumer law does not apply.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and in our books — including text, design, layout, illustrations, and written interpretations — remains the intellectual property of Purple Dahlia Publications.

Products are for personal use only and may not be reproduced, copied, or resold.

8. Astrology Disclaimer

Our books are based on astrological interpretation and are provided for entertainment, reflection, and inspirational purposes only.

They are not:

  • medical advice

  • psychological advice

  • parenting advice

  • educational guidance

  • behavioural assessment

  • predictions of future events

Parents and guardians are solely responsible for decisions relating to a child’s wellbeing and development.

We make no guarantees about outcomes or accuracy beyond the interpretive nature of astrology.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • emotional interpretation of content

  • decisions made based on astrological material

  • delays caused by couriers

  • incorrect information provided by customers

Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights.

10. Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt services.

We reserve the right to restrict access where misuse is suspected.

11. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

UK consumers retain their statutory rights.
